Hog Hunting Questions

All hunts include a guide, transportation while hunting on the ranch lands, packing out, field dressing, skinning and chilling in our walk-in cooler.

To get started on your first hunt and a guided hunt with Frontera Hunting, you’ll need to complete the California Hunter Education Course and receive your certificate. After you have your Hunter Education certificate, then you can purchase your California Hunting License.

Our wild pig hunt is two days of hunting.

Yes, we offer this feature along with our other Experience Add-ons. If requested at the time of booking (and based on availability), we can have your meat cut and wrapped within 36 hours of harvest.

Spot and Stalk is the most common method but we try to accommodate to whichever hunting method is preferred. If walking and hiking is not preferred, we can strive to set you up along a heavily traveled game trail.

For rifle hunting, we recommend .243 caliber or bigger.

Yes, your rifle should have a scope.

If you need to sight-in your rifle at the time of your arrival for your hunt, please let us know in advance so we can make use of our shooting range prior to hunt.

Mostly sunny, cools off in the evenings.

ATVs are not allowed at this time.

We only offer guided hunts with select group of expert hunters.

We have multiple certified experts to guide you on your hunt.

No, we are hunting private ranches.

We can take up to 12 hunters in one group

Lodging, Travel, & Meals Questions

Yes, we do offer lodging. We also offer a camping experience add-on on one of our nearby ranches.  In addition, there are a number of hotels located in the neighboring city of Paso Robles, CA.

Lodging and meals can be added at an additional price.

Payment Questions

Yes, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required when booking a hunt.

All deposits are non-refundable and cannot be applied as credit for future hunts after cancelation. These terms also apply when no hunt has been guided or scheduled within twelve(12) after initial deposit has been made.

Yes, you can cancel your hunt. However, your 25% deposit will not be returned and if the cancelation is made within 30 days of your scheduled hunt, an additional 20% will be charged.
