Guided Wild Pig Hunts

California Quail

Generally spotted in coastal sagebrush, chaparral and occasionally oak trees, the California Quail is a favorite among hunters in the Western Coastal region. Generally, the California State bird will forage in open areas but stay close to cover as they walk, run or scratch at the ground for food. Frontera fully provides guided hunts to ensure success and maximizing this fantastic hunting experience. California Quail form flocks known as “coveys” in Fall and Winter; these usually contain family groups and can number more than 75 birds. Quail roost in trees and feed mainly in the morning and evening, this creates perfect scheduling to be successful for your next guided hunt.

California Dove

There are two different species of dove our guests can experience in California: Mourning Dove and White-winged Dove. On the land we have the Mourning Dove and Eurasian Collared Dove.

Mourning Doves blend in seamlessly with their open-country surroundings as they’re a delicate brown to buffy-tan, with black spots on the wings and black-bordered white tips to the tail feathers. With Frontera guiding you on your hunt, you’ll be able to spot and have your chance to claim one or more of this abundant game.
